How to create an invoice online in 4 steps

You enter your business details and logo once. After that, each invoice takes a few minutes.

  1. Add your business details

Enter your name, address, company number, VAT number and IBAN once in the settings, together with your logo. They then appear on every invoice.

  2. Pick or add the customer

Select a saved customer or add a new one, business or private. For a business customer you also save their VAT number.

  3. Add the invoice lines

Choose a product or type a description with quantity, price and VAT rate. The app fills in the invoice number and the totals.

  4. Send or download

Email the invoice with a link to its payment page, download the PDF, or send it through Peppol with Complete.

Your logo and branding on every invoice

Upload your logo and a full-page background or letterhead once, and every invoice and quote gets the same layout. There is no Word or Excel template to maintain. No logo yet? Create one with the AI logo generator in the app. The app works in English; invoice PDFs use Dutch labels and amounts in euros.

  • Logo and background on every plan
  • Choose which details appear on the PDF and set the margins
  • No Factuur Simpel branding on your PDFs

Save customers and products

Save each customer once, business or consumer, with their address, registration number and VAT number. Do the same for the services and products you sell often, with a price and VAT rate. For a new invoice, pick the customer and lines from your lists and change only what is different.

  • Customer details appear correctly on the invoice
  • Product prices including or excluding VAT
  • Copy an earlier invoice for repeat work

Automatic invoice numbers and VAT

Each new invoice gets the next number in your sequence, with an optional prefix such as the year. The app calculates the amount and VAT for each line and adds everything up. When the reverse charge applies, switch it on for the invoice and the PDF shows the reverse-charge statement.

Check an amount with or without VAT in the VAT calculator

  • Continuous numbering, also when you switch from other software
  • A VAT rate per line, including 0%
  • Reverse charge per invoice, with a default per customer

Send by email, as a PDF or through Peppol

Send the invoice from the app by email or download the PDF. The email links to a payment page with your bank details. With Complete, you connect your own Mollie account so customers can pay online, for example with iDEAL, and the invoice is marked paid automatically. Mollie charges its own transaction fees. When an invoice becomes overdue, the app sends one automatic reminder.

Create invoices on your phone

With the iOS and Android apps, you can invoice right after a job and continue in the web app at your desk, using the same account. Your customers, products and invoices are available everywhere. Use your phone's share menu to send the PDF or payment link, for example through WhatsApp.

  • The same features as the web app
  • Scan receipts with your phone's camera
  • Push notifications, for example when a customer signs your quote

What the app fills in and what you check

Enter your business details once in the settings. After that, the fixed details appear on every invoice and you only look at what changes from job to job.

Added automatically

  • Your business name, address, registration number, VAT number and IBAN
  • Your customer's name and address, plus their VAT number if you saved it
  • A unique, sequential invoice number and the invoice date
  • Line amounts, VAT and the total

You check

  • What you delivered, how much and on which date
  • The correct VAT rate for each line
