About Factuur Simpel: simple invoicing for freelancers and small businesses
Factuur Simpel is online invoicing software for freelancers and small businesses that invoice in euros, mainly in the Netherlands and Belgium. This page explains who makes it, how Peppol and your data are handled and how we write our guides and tools.
Who is behind Factuur Simpel?
Factuur Simpel is a product of Dashweb B.V., a Dutch company based in De Goorn, North Holland. Dashweb develops and runs the web app, the iOS and Android apps and this website.
The same software has three versions: budgetinvoice.com in English, factuursimpel.nl for the Netherlands and factuursimpel.be for Belgium.

What you can do with Factuur Simpel
You create invoices and quotes with your own logo and letterhead, keep a list of clients and products, and track expenses by uploading receipts. A client can accept and sign your quote online, and you turn it into an invoice with one click. When an invoice becomes overdue, Factuur Simpel sends a payment reminder automatically. You can switch that off.
- Unlimited invoices, quotes, clients, products and receipts on both plans
- A web app and iOS and Android apps with the same features, plus a receipt scanner and a notification when an invoice is paid or a quote is signed
- Export invoices and expenses to Excel or as PDF files in a ZIP, and clients to Excel or CSV
- Create a credit invoice from an existing invoice, and a switch for reverse-charge VAT
Who Factuur Simpel is for
Factuur Simpel is made for business owners who do their own invoicing: freelancers, self-employed professionals and small businesses. It is not accounting software. There is no bank connection and no separate login for your accountant, but you can export invoices and expenses for your accountant or VAT return in a few clicks.
Invoices are in euros and the invoice PDF uses Dutch labels, so Factuur Simpel suits businesses with clients in the Netherlands and Belgium best.
How Peppol sending and receiving works
On the Complete plan and during the trial you send and receive e-invoices through Peppol. Factuur Simpel takes care of your connection to the Peppol network. You register your business yourself in the app, and there is no extra charge per Peppol invoice you send.
Invoices you receive through Peppol appear as expenses in Factuur Simpel, where you can view or forward them.
Invoicing Belgian businesses? Since 1 January 2026, VAT-registered businesses in Belgium must exchange structured electronic invoices with each other.

Plans and free trial
There are two paid plans: Starter at €12.99 per month and Complete at €21.99 per month, excluding VAT. Paid yearly, they cost €129.99 and €219.99. In the App Store and Google Play, Apple's and Google's prices apply, including VAT.
You start with a 30-day trial with all Complete features, and no payment details are needed. There is no free plan: after 30 days you choose Starter or Complete.
Where your data is stored and who processes it
Factuur Simpel runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Frankfurt, in the EU. We do not sell your data.
A few features involve another company processing part of your data. OpenAI reads the receipt images you have processed automatically, and processes the description you enter in the AI logo or background generator. Peppol invoices go through our Peppol access point partner. Online payments run through your own Mollie account.
Support by WhatsApp and email
You can reach us on WhatsApp and by email. We usually reply to emails within 48 hours. If something goes wrong in the app, you can report it from within the app.
Editorial policy for the knowledge base and tools
The Factuur Simpel team writes and maintains the knowledge base guides and the explanations that come with the free tools. We base them on official sources such as the Dutch Tax Administration (Belastingdienst), the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KVK), business.gov.nl and, for Belgium, the Federal Public Service Finance and einvoice.belgium.be. Each guide lists its sources so you can check the rules yourself.
- Every guide shows the date of its last content change. When the rules change, we update the guide and that date.
- When we mention a Factuur Simpel feature, we only describe what the software does today.
- Spotted a mistake or outdated information? Let us know through support. We check it and correct the guide.
- Our guides explain general rules and are not tax or legal advice. If you are unsure about your own situation, ask the tax authority or your accountant.
